This is a rarity on booking. If the reservation is confirmed and you are told on the spot that there are no seats. Immediately write to those support of booking. They should offer you a hotel in the same area, and the same category at the same price. At the same time, they take all the costs and fines from the hotel that did not settle you. Therefore, it is not profitable for the hotel to do so.

I had this happen at the end of December. I came to check in, and at the reception they replied that there were no places. And there were a few of us. And it's good that I wrote a complaint to the booking, because they did not cancel the reservation and also wanted to remove the fine, like I did not come to check in.
