No, it's not necessary. You come to Koh Samui hospital on Naton, room 25 (in Google maps it is marked right separately from the main building of the clinic), fill out a questionnaire at the entrance (trays with questionnaires for pfizer, modern and children) and go into the office. They will say further there. The second dose is in a month. You can still go to the central festival, but if you're lucky there.
