Has anyone come to Koh Samui with their quadcopter? Do I need to register it somewhere?

You cannot launch a drone without registration. There are even some huge fines provided, up to prison.

I arrived in Bangkok, no one had a question either on departure or in Tae. I have launched it on Koh Samui several times. A screen pops up blocking actions, solved by entering a phone number and a subsequent SMS message in this window.
