how to return the tax (is it really possible) from a laptop purchased (upon arrival in Koh Samui)? can I go to the airport right away? or on departure? we just want to buy and start using right away. What are the rules, who knows?

No more than 3 items of the same type (more than 3 are likely to be considered a commercial lot when imported), only expensive purchases need to be presented to the customs inspector. Depends on the price of the laptop.

You need to issue a special paper in the store. You can return it only within 60 days and only at the airport. Theoretically, you can't use it before departure, but in fact it can take a ride (if you pack everything back, of course)
