Well, as a rule, they turn a blind eye to it (if one day). And so the fine is 500 baht per person. We once had an overstay for two days - there were no penalties. And for 5 days of delay, they paid 2500 baht per person. I was too lazy to go to immigration to do an extension. We decided it would be easier to pay the fine at the airport.
