A very strange question statement. The scanner in ANY MFP scans in any format you need. The programs that are included in the package can give limited formats. But a bunch of third-party software that can scan directly from the scanner to PDF. Again, any picture can be converted to PDF (the simplest option is the Windows function printing a document/picture to PDF) My parents have an inkjet MFP bought 15 years ago, the cheapest is able to use embedded software in PDF.
