I read that to extend the visa for 30 days, I need some kind of paper tm. 6. they didn't give me anything on arrival, did something change?

Exactly tm6. This is the one that was given on the plane. And tm30 seems to be needed.

In theory, this is a TM30 form - issued by your landlord of the house /hotel, and confirms your registration at the place of stay. But lately she doesn't seem to be asked, at least I extended my visa in early December and she wasn't asked... You will need to fill out the forms (they will give you on the spot), a photo, a passport and 1900 baht.
