It is better and faster from Bangkok to Koh Samui by plane 11-15k 1 hour journey, slightly cheaper plane Bangkok - Suratani + ferry 3-4 hours journey about 5-6k, cheaper and longer bus 10h journey to Suratani + ferry 1.5 hours, about 1-2 hours.
