Is it normal that an agent asks to send payment for the first month BEFORE signing a condo rental agreement in Bangkok? Like, send money, after that we will make a contract, after that you send a deposit for another 2 months.

I was also asked for a reservation or something like that (a contract for this transfer is being drawn up), it says that I will have to make the remaining 2 months before such and such a date, or they have the right to take an advance and hand it over to another. The next day I brought 2 months more and successfully moved in. But be careful with that of course.
