Can you advise in which city it is better to live according to your own taste - Bangkok or Phuket? The work is remote for both, we love nature, but not the rich.

Bkk only. Puket only if you live for a few months. It's a big village, it gets boring fast.

Very much depends on what you want to have. The big minus of Bangkok is air pollution from burning fields in central Thailand plus urban smog. From some point on, it starts to have a bad effect on health. Otherwise, this is a metropolis with all its advantages, there is just more of everything. Cafes and restaurants, interesting places, there is at least some cultural life here (exhibitions, concerts, jazz bars, there was even some theater before covid). Metro, buses, taxis, you can get anywhere for cheap. And huge travel opportunities in central Thailand (when there is no smog haha). Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui - here you will need your own transport, it is impossible to get to anything on foot, and taxis are much more expensive than in Bangkok. Phuket and Koh Samui have a large Russian-speaking community and appropriate food compared to the Bcc. In general, there are more Western products in stores here than in the BCC Clean air is a huge plus. Living and working with a sea view is very pleasant. But in Bangkok, you can work with gorgeous views of the city, which is also cool. Chiang Mai is a magnificent city in all respects, except for the terrible smog a few months a year. Pollution can be up to 400 units, it's not good for health at all. If you don't like to sit still, you can divide, half a year in the north (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai), half a year, for the time of the summer, in the south.

Phuket seemed more expensive, we ended up staying in a condo with a pool far away from the center of Bangkok. But nature is zero here.
