I had that experience. It was easy to get a residency certificate for covid stamps in hua hin.

What do you need it for? In most cases, the residence certificate successfully replaces the affidavit of residence from the Consulate (for example, to pass the license, to buy a bike, to open a bank account)

What city? You can't get a residency certificate in Bangkok without a one-year visa.
