Search on google serviced apartments - they are rented by the month, cheaper than a hotel by the day I personally like the Phrom Phong area - so lively, Japanese, with three shopping centers on the BTS and a park.

The choice for rent depends on your preferences and, most importantly, on your budget. In Bangkok, it's not so easy to rent apartments at the right price for a month, they like contracts for a long time.
