Antipyretics: Paracetamol/Tylenol, Ibuprofen/Gofen (replaces citramon for headaches, but is weaker than paracetamol), Argus, Robitussin. Sore throat remedies: Grammicin (there are also ear and nose drops in this series), Kamillosan M. Cough remedies (vasoconstrictors): Nasol, Tetryzoline Hydrochloride. Cough medicine: Procaterol (helps with asthma and choking), Salbuterol/Proventil (Ventolin analogue), Para + Orphen (muscle relaxant). For ear inflammation: S. M. Oto, Archifen (more expensive and of lower quality). For eye inflammation (e.g., conjunctivitis): Tobramycin. OPSAR eye drops may help with eye strain. For poisoning. The familiar manganese solution, Potassium Permanganate, is available at almost any drugstore. In Thailand, activated charcoal is called Deltacarbon. Of intestinal antibiotics take Erfuzide, and in case of an overdose of paracetamol, ask for Hidonac. Antidiarrheals: Loperamide (do not use if you are poisoned!), Disento. Probiotics: Infloran (bifido and lactobacillus). For heartburn: Acicare, Abella. Laxatives: Agiolax. Means to improve digestion: Pancreatin (works the same way as the usual mesim), Combizym. For allergies: Cetihis, Chlorpeniramine (analog of suprastin), Telfast. For burns and other wounds: Dexpanthenol, Becolim 100, Bepanthen, Banocin, and Mangosteen, an excellent wound-healing and disinfectant (unfortunately, you can only find it in some pharmacies). Painkillers: Ibuprofen, Drotaverine (the same no-shpa), Toverine and Buscopan (muscle spasms), Ponstan 500 (relieves muscle and tooth pain), Patar 75 M-16 (contains lidocaine, so great for freezing" a tooth or gum)
