The courses are likely to be bad everywhere, because you have to run for the good ones where tourists usually don't go. Take dollars to Laos and you can take a little baht too. For money in Tae, a train ticket from 600 to 1500, depending on the class. Plane - look on the Internet, prices may vary greatly. Air Asia flies there. The bus is about like a train, but I think within 1000 baht.

The route is normal, but there may not be train tickets. But there will be buses of different colors. If you don't want to fly from Udon Thani by plane to Bangkok (which is generally cheap and angry), then go by bus if there are no train tickets.
