Please tell me if they will let you in Thailand at the border if a person arrived in May, then did a covid extension, then flew away in July, now wants to fly again?

Should be allowed. The website thaiembassy com has information that visa-free entry is possible 6 times per calendar year for air border crossing, and 2 times per year for land border crossing. The site is unofficial, but the information there is maintained more quickly than on the official (domain. org).
