Hello! In general, a beach holiday is not about Pattaya. Although, of course, it depends on what the requirements are for the sea. Perhaps you will like to swim on Kolan more, then it is worth looking closer to the pier hotels. In Pattaya, the sea is basically kupable, but not why it's worth going.
