Has anyone flown via Delhi to Pattaya? Is it necessary to do visa and psr?

We flew through Delhi, got both visas and PCP, we were not asked anything, calmly went to the transit zone, there got tickets on. My friends were following us on the next day. They were very upset and asked for anything they didn't like. They asked for a visa, psr, return ticket, hotel reservation, proof of money for the rest, etc..
