Can you tell me how long it takes to go through border control in Thailand on arrival at the airport? How much time is better to lay down before the bus to Pattaya, is 3 hours enough?

Picked up an acquaintance today, on his way to Bangkok. At 12:30 I passed for interest. It was like a bus to Pattaya. The tickets were bought before 14:00. By the time we got to the parking lot at 13:00, they'd already bought up everything by 15:00.
