On Fridays there is a bus from Pattaya to Phuket, at 15.00 it seems to leave. The journey time is about 17 hours. 960 baht per person with dinner cost tickets a month ago.

I don't recommend it. Buses are rare. Long. Look at the loyal airfare from BKK.
