[Pattaya] The agency is demanding that I pay a fine of 1600B when I check into the apartment for not registering at the hotel where I stayed for 2 weeks before I checked in. Has anyone experienced this? Am I the one who has to pay this fine? Pattaya. - Thailand

It's not their responsibility. If they are that principled, offer to have them do the registration for you and pay the fine on the check from immigration, if there is one.

Upon arrival, it is necessary to register within 3 days if a fine of 1600 is overdue. If you go directly to the hotel, the hotel registers.
