We didn't. I didn't need it. We also flew go first via Delhi. Arrived on November 30.

If you don't need to get luggage, you don't need to. But you'd better check with the airline. I had a change of AC, so I made a visa to get luggage. And so at the exit of the plane look for a person with a sign 'Transit'.
