In our condo in Pattaya, they ask for 500 b. to register at the immigration office! Is this necessary or a scam?

In theory, it is the responsibility of the homeowner to register visitors. The condo administration, as a rule, does not own housing, but only manages it. Therefore, it is not surprising that they do not want to do this for free. On the other hand, it is not clear why your owner does not move, they usually do everything themselves.

They didn't charge us any money, most of the owners or agents did everything for free.
