For me, Karon and Bang Tao are uncomfortable, too long. 7-10 kilometers each. I like the Nai Harn area in terms of a calmer sea and a choice of beaches, but it's a little difficult to hang out on Nai Harn. And it is impossible to tell about housing at all, there are a lot of questions here: what level of comfort is needed; what type of housing - villa, hotel or condo; what price; how far from the sea is enough; parallel question will you travel by taxi or by your own transport and much more.

Definitely Karon, it's noisy on Patong, it's boring on Katya, the sea on Karon is clean, the sand is white and crisp, it's also called singing, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants, massage parlors too.
