Since Phangan and Samui are on the other side of the mainland in the Gulf of Thailand, they can only be reached directly from Phuket by sea through Singapore. There are two options: fly to Koh Samui and sail to Phangan by ferry or boat, or get to the Don Sak Pier by bus and take a ferry. Or by bike to the pier, also an option in principle. 1. More expensive and faster - by plane + ferry/boat. 2. Cheaper and slower - by bus + ferry/boat. Buses to Donsak Pier leave from Bus Terminal 2 in Phuket Town. You can buy bus and ferry tickets together online and at excursion tents anywhere on the island. You can cooperate and take a cab to the pier, but it's expensive. The bus+ferry option takes from 8 hours to drive.
