The current exchange rate of the baht is always better to Google (over the past month it has fallen by 1.5 baht to the dollar — from 34.5 to 33.0). It is best to change in exchangers at bank branches, there is usually the highest rate (now around 33 baht per dollar). But almost always a passport is required. Money changers at kiosks on any central street do not need a passport, but the exchange rate is worse (about 32.7 per dollar).
