You can, you need a form (it seems TM30 from the hotel or Condo where you live), everything was done in a couple of hours.

Migration in Phuket Town. Screenshot of the registration from the hotel. Xerox of passport and photos can be made there, print it too. Previously, they say, for 300-500 baht can be the same day. We got our money back and were told to wait a week. Pro stamps also do.
