Bordering one day is not welcomed. especially if you are on your own and not by land. they may invite you for an interview, ask questions. ask to see your return ticket, accommodation contract, cash. of course, and they will take a bribe. it is easier to stay in another country for a couple of days, then you are a model tourist, not a longshoreman.
