[Phuket] Tell me how the reception of recyclables is arranged in Phuket? I'm used to it in Russia and I don't want to change traditions. Where can I take/give pet, aluminum and polypropylene? - Thailand

Nowhere. Thais don't sort through the garbage at home – it will put a bunch of Thais out of work. who sort garbage already in the landfill. At the landfill, sorting is done - part goes to biofuels, part is burned, part is buried, of course. But they don't sort separately.

I collect plastic bottles and cardboard in separate bags and give them to the Thais, once a week at least other guys come who weigh them and then pay then hand over to the recycling point. Unfortunately, only plastic bottles of aluminum are accepted, glass and bags are not recycled, although in my opinion most of the garbage is just the packaging of food. Old phones can be given at the post office, they promise to send for recycling to ais in Bangkok, I do not know whether they are really sent but at least accepted. Clothes are disassembled instantly, that's where the old ones are for recycling or disposal - I can not find. And no one will fine for garbage.

Throw everything in a heap, from your activism there is no sense of zero, do not fill your head with unnecessary nonsense. Google garbage recycling"
