In general, how easy it is to get a visa to Thailand in Moscow vfs. isn't there a chance that next time I'll be deployed for other reasons?

Well, some of them cope the first time. Many I would even say.

Usually immediately indicate all the shortcomings. But no one cancels the possibility that they will be wrapped on something else. And the visa is issued by the consulate. And the visa center simply accepts the documents. They stupidly check for basic errors in the papers, so to speak.

The first time everything worked out. Before that, I just read online. Corrected only the questionnaire and asked for an additional confirmation of the reservation, in a couple of hours in the VFS itself did.
