I did. I brought a copy of the house lease agreement, a copy of the passport, the photo was taken on the spot (you need 2). For 500 baht the certificate itself is made.

And in which immigray ? from personal experience - on Patong everyone is faster and less questions/.

On Patong it's simpler, faster times 3 minimum, but I don't remember if they do a resident certification there. Their functions there are limited to tour visas and something else.
