Are there any firms in Phuket that assist in opening a bank account? Can you say by the pen they pull you away and tell you what to do?

Go to the bank in Bangkok with your passport and open an account. It will cost about 7000 baht. 6000 of them are local insurance. The bank will do everything for you. 2-3 branches and the account is open.

Yes. You can even not go anywhere. All documents will be brought home for signature. About 10,000 baht is the service.
