Well, if the same level of hotels - then probably lagoon in Bangtao. And so everything south of Patong is also not wilderness. But with varying degrees of success. And in any case, there is more life than on Mai Khao. It makes sense to go to Mai Khao if you need a seal rest and you are not going to go outside the hotel.
