Tell me please, if you take local plastic baskets for fruit, can these baskets in your hand luggage be taken with you? They are not asked to check in the luggage because of the size?

My many in 2 years carried. Never asked to pass. Just at the time of weighing did not put on the tape, left the baskets to wait aside. But someone says the rules change. so it looks like luck here.

These baskets come in different sizes. The big ones may not be allowed in their carry-on luggage because they simply won't fit on the luggage rack and stand under the seat. It is advisable to look at the allowable sizes of hand luggage in the airline you are flying and focus on them.
