Look for where the passport is not taken as a pledge. Well, or independently offer money as a pledge, instead of a passport.

There are many places where they do not ask for a deposit either a passport or money. And I just write down the passport data and the address of residence. Look for such offices. Besides, it's a small season. Prices shouldn't bite.
