Nai Yang is a very calm sea, we can say without waves at all (January-2019). This is the north of Phuket, basically not far from Bang Tao by car. We were also with the child, everything is normal.

There is a paddling pool on NyHarn, it is not yet blooming in November, and there the child of 3 years old will be just affigenic and you will not have to save bricks if suddenly there are still waves.
