Rentals do not ask for a right. They don't care, the police will ask, the fine is 500-1000 baht every time. You can get a Thai license, by the way, a very useful thing, except for the direct purpose.

You can take it, but sometimes you can fine. This can easily be avoided by monitoring the DPS card.
