In the transit area you will not receive luggage.. no airport has this. That is, in order to receive luggage, you must leave the transit zone and go through passport control. Collect your luggage and then check in and check in again at the check-in desk. You don't quite have transit if you get your luggage. You have a transplant.

If there is a transfer with baggage claim, then you get your luggage like everyone else, and then re-check in. How did you get your ticket?
