My wife left the ring on the table in the condo, in the room, the ring is gone. We suspect that the cleaner may have appropriated it...

Cleaner from where? Did you find it yourself? There are usually no cleaners in the condo. In the apartments sometimes there is, if you have an apartment - for a start it is worth going to the reception, explaining the situation. You can go straight from the tour. they will act as interpreters.
