I am interested in the question about monkeys on Koh Chang, on Lonely Beach they say that there are a lot of monkeys that steal and climb into hotels.

I've lived on Lonely Beach a few times. Yes, there is a tribe of monkeys living across the street and they come down from the hills in the morning and raid hotels. We inadvertently left some juices on the veranda, something else - the monkeys dragged everything away. If the door to the bungalow or room is open, they can climb in. Hotel staff warns of monkey invasions, they scare them away with slingshots. But despite such neighbors, Lonely Beach is my favorite beach. Just be careful and don't leave things outside.

There are monkeys, mostly climbing poles near the road and in the jungle. But no one will forbid them to come to the hotel or to the beach if they want) mostly not aggressive, but it is better to be careful. We were attacked by a pack of monkeys on Phi Phi.
